Well Toto – we are still in Kansas – or Michigan I guess, but we survived that – BARELY!
My day was going pretty good. I got up and was working by 7:00AM as always. Fed the dogs let them out side and around 8:30 they were very insistent on coming in the house. I though goodness have some patients! I walk to the slider to open the door and see two sections of our brand new fence lying in the neighbors back yard. ????????????
Thankfully it was my husbands day off! I came in the house and yelled – John! Come help, the fence fell! I grab the cordless drill and head back outside. We worked on that from 8:30 until about 9:50. There were many more posts that could use screws added but the battery had died on the screwdriver, so I put it on the charger and got ready. I had to leave the house no later than 10:00 to get to a lab appointment. Drive to Cascade to get my labs done for my BHRT (bio-identical hormone replacement therapy) and thyroid levels, drive back home and the garage door opener won’t open the garage. Again – good thing hubby had the day off as I don’t keep a house key on my key chain 🙂 I rely on the garage door opening LOL – I might be rethinking that idea. I get in the house only to find that the power was out. UGH! So the rest of the day I worked from my cell phone answering emails and such. Good thing that had a full charge in the morning.
About noon my husband is standing in the kitchen and says “another fence panel fell” I was like ???????????? Really?
I grab the battery off the charger and throw it in the drill – viola – a pretty good charge! Must have had close to an hour on the charger before we lost power. Back outside to put the new fallen panel up. And then I killed the battery again adding at least two screws to the posts boards down the whole back side. To note: We knew this was something that needed done. We put the boxes together with an air nailer last summer and we kept saying we need to put screws in there to stand up to the elements and time. And we were going to do it when it got warm 🙂 Mother nature decided yesterday would be a good day to do that! So I’m still choosing to look at how successfully WE built a fence. We only had two posts pop apart and three panels of 18 tip over. People lost house roofs and whole trees! We stood up to the abuse of the elements pretty well 🙂
Power came back on around 5:00 last night while I was at the gym 🙂 very fortunate there as well! Some people are out until Saturday! ????
My hour and a half blasting session in the bath tub Monday resulted in many bruises and a pretty heave dose of detox. I am still sore today in some spots – feeling much less like I have been hit by a bus though. Inner thighs still sore upper arms still sore – those are places that I think the faceblaster got opened a bit better so I could get in deeper to the ropy fascia. Still bruised and still sore…so that probably means still inflamed and I will not judge the areas yet until they are done healing 😉
I also dug in pretty deep in the glute/hamstring tie-in area and you know what???? Hy hip/hamstring has quit hurting! I have been in pretty constant pain in that area for at least the last 5 months or more. Also my shoulder is feeling better 🙂
I have a zillion things to go catch up on – have a great day!!!!
