The new pup woke me up at 3:30 for a potty break. Then no going back to sleep. I tried to put them back in their kennels but no go. She’s so hungry we never even got to lay back down until after I gave in and fed her.
By the time my husband got up I had started to admit this may not be working out.
I contacted the rescue and after a very long day and much internal turmoil- I told them we needed to do something.
The fights were escalating and my anxiety was through the roof. But it turns out there was another family that had wanted her after I had inquired about her. So she will be going to a home where she is the only pet and two kids. That is exactly what she needs! No contesting for attention and no other dog trying to assert themselves on her.
So while I’m super happy for her – I’m also sad that she has had to shuffle so much.
Tonight she is staying at my daughter’s. I have several DR appointments tomorrow so a full nights sleep and not worrying about having to have her kenneled all day will be good.
And Sasha crashed right out tonight – not a peep after I put her in her kennel. She had a long day too lol
