WOW it’s been a while since I stopped in to actually chat at you all 🙂
In the last 5 weeks; I started dieting and have lost 10 pounds! Go Me! Had both cars break down, improved my SQL skills and gotten much better at my job LOL but mostly over the last 5 weeks, I have relaxed and enjoyed our new life. Lots of pool time, lots of fishing (mostly hubby) and lots of just living.
This morning when I stepped on the scale and saw 138.7 I immediately thought; whew good, still going down. Then I started looking at my starting points and all the other stats around my weight. Here is where I was like, “Awesome, Good Job Kelly”. As I said that is 10 pounds from May 30. But it’s also 10 pound MORE than I weighed when we moved here! I’m still focusing on the 10 pounds list LOL My sister left 5 weeks ago, she is coming back today, and will be back again in about 8 weeks from when she leaves. I PLAN to be back to “move to Florida weight” by time she returns again! And down to my goal weight of 115 by the time my MIL gets here in November!
I weighed 128 when we moved here. I had goals to lose the last 13-18 pounds when I got here. That OBVIOUSLY did not happen. There was a lot more stress in building a house and living with my parents than I thought there was going to be. I am a stress eater, and it showed! And your body does all kinds of weird things with cortisol and such when you are under stress anyway.
I have been keeping my calories right around 1400. For part of the time it was Keto and then I got crazy and needed carbs so I let myself eat carb, I just kept the calorie limit in place and kept loosing. Now that I have that out of my system, I am back to keto and doing fine. There is a Deluxe Fudge Brownie sitting on my bar and I don’t even care! When I want chocolate or sweets, I hit the Hershey’s Dark Chocolate sugar free bars with some natural PB and I am happy as a lark.
The car issues; UGH. Hubby was coming home from work one Saturday and his front end started making a horrid noise. This was TRULY the day day after we talked about closing the Credit Card account to stop the debt. He was worried that we might have an emergency and need the credit if we closed it. LOL The very next day after he come home with a loud broken front end, we were driving up to Sarasota in my Focus and I get a warning notice “Have your Transmission serviced Immediately, it is not functioning properly” I hit the little OK button and continued on to our exit that was about 5 miles down the road. Got off at the exit. Light at the top of the exit was green, next light green…then I had to stop at the next light and I never moved again.
Hubby pushed my through the intersection to the side of the road and we called a tow truck, well I actually used my Allstate App and it was wonderful! My parents came and rescued us from the side of the road and the tow driver dropped my car off for me. I had it re-towed the next morning to a Ford Dealership as I figured it had something to do with the warranty/recall issue on the Transmission – and I was right! so that was a free fix. I had to pay for that second tow. But $58.85 was way better than the master transmission controller that went bad!
Hubby’s Kia on the other hand cost us near $1400. Both front struts were gone and the big noise was coming from the ball joint. Upper front Arm had to be replaced. NOW we are all fixed up and moving forward!
Along with my sister coming back today my second oldest niece is coming and so is my Grandson!!!! I have not seen him since May and the Anniversary trip. I have the rest of the week off after today. Hubby has Sunday and Monday off, so that leaves my sister to entertain him Tuesday and Wednesday before their flight leaves next Wednesday.
OK that is all I have. I have a few pics for visual effect, because what’s a post without pictures? LOL
