Ups and DownsΒ

So I have a few pictures for ya today.

This first one here is the Proper Garage door panel as it was ordered. They came and put the right one on today. It makes SO MUCH difference inside the garage! I don’t need to turn on the light just to get the dog food or a water out of the fridge out there πŸ™‚ As long as it’s light outside πŸ™‚ it’s light in the garage.

Next two make me sad. Not due to the bruises that are slowly fading – but because it really shows my fat bloated middle. πŸ™

My Gorgeous Hubby and I went to the pier Tuesday evening and enjoyed the beautiful weather. He took a picture of me on the pier and I look so horrid, just a blob. Made me so sad. I have been doing so good and I had been feeling pretty good. Then I saw that picture and got knocked a bit. I didn’t fall into a place where I went to feed my emotions with bull shit food. It kind of gave me a bit more resolve to stay on track.

When I quickly stepped on the scale yesterday it was back up to 135 and I was even more disheartened, because I’ve been good! No Cheats at all! Then I realized – Well, I have been going to the gym and that can make you retain water. So I gave myself a tiny break…lol

When I stepped on the scale today is was back down to less than my prior lower weight. So I’m very nearing being out of the 130’s. I was going to say maybe my October 1st I’ll be in the 120’s BUT that is just a few short days away – so prolly not LOL but soon.

Additionally on the fat back pictures you can see a bit of the bruising I managed to conjure up on Sunday and I took those yesterday. Today is the first day that they have not been tender to the touch. So that means another hot bath session tonight.

So the title – over the last few days I have had some emotional ups and downs with my progress but, all in all – Things are going well. The other two pictures I wanted to share because I LOVE that guy he makes me SOOOOO Happy! I enjoyed that simple walk on the pier with him more than would seem reasonable 😍 at times we were not even talking, just holding hands, walking and enjoying the evening. And the light house – It was a nice shot πŸ™‚ I thought you should see it.

Monday-Day 8

Not another day 1 😊 I was good all weekend and I’m happy about that and proud of myself.

Scale is holding at 133.9 and that’s OK. Low carb shells might be the reason for that.

Below are updated face pictures πŸ™‚ It’s been just over a week. Diet on point and I have been using my face blaster a few times a week. Mostly when I shower for a few minutes. Nothing on a daily basis…For sure that Saturday this past Sunday and a couple times last week. I can for sure my jaw line starting to take shape! And those things I hate around my mouth!

I took a hot bath again yesterday and really focused on my booty and back. The ribs over my kidneys have been super sore and when I had a massage a couple weeks ago even she commented on how bound up I was right there. It’s hard to reach my booty – being behind me and all LOL BUT I found that if I laid on the floor and used the vanity to help hold my leg up in like a “split” while lying on my side I could reach the glute/hammy tie in and also the very tight muscle in my butt cheek was much easier to reach that way. SO today my booty and low back have some awesomely tender bruises. But because I am right handed I really focused on the right hip and not the as much the left. So I need to work on that next time. Also I need to take a day this week and focus on my feet and arms

Despite what I need to work on – I’m making progress and that feels good.

338 – Saturday 😊

Morning!

I got my homework done last night! I think I finally had something “click” with this term long reading assignment. We all picked an essay to read and analyze as a part of this class. I loved the essay I chose and have enjoyed reading it and re-reading it to dig deeper, but I felt I was missing her true point of the writing. Last night I wrote – with a pen on paper and spoke out loud as I did and it finally clicked! I was able to state the case she was making and found all of the evidence I needed to support my theory 😊😊😊

I forgot to weigh myself this morning but I feel like my fat belly is getting flatter – so I’m happy.

Can you believe the temperature?!? 94 degrees in Michigan in the first day of fall?! Crazy 😜

I’m not complaining, and I’m sure my hubby isn’t either . I love my cami’s, skimpy shorts and sundresses. The pool is closed but maybe I can still get some sun out on the deck, probably not. My 3-year-old grandson would not like just hanging on the deck lol and he’s my charge today while his daddy moves over to a friend’s house.

Me and my Daughter in Law ARE starting to walk at lunch on Monday. I’m seeing progress just getting food under control now to burn some extra calories 😊

I added a picture of some little cups and stones I’ve had sitting around forever. They have forever had 22 stones between them. I’m trying again to use this method. I plan to have all of the ones in To Lost in the Lost cup by next May and not have them ever move back!

Well I need to get moving, laundry it needing my attention. Have a great weekend!!

TGIF – 48 More Fridays

I was going to put a number of days – but it is Friday, counting Fridays is fun too 😁

I’m three weeks into School. So far so good. I am finding that I put my homework off a bit longer than I probably should, but I guess as long as it’s turned in on time – No Harm, No Foul. BUT what if something comes up at the end of the week and I am unable to get it done?? That is why I need to make sure I am at least getting most of it done early in the week and then cleaning up the nits and bits at the end of the week.

I got this nice note from my professor on last week’s work. I am not a great fan of this type of homework. It falls in a range of opinion and grey area. I like math and science – the hard sciences. I enjoy the crap out of words and writing – I don’t like being graded on it LOL Or that mechanics around it.

I saw this little picture on Facebook the other day and thought “aint that the truth!” Especially after how uncomfortable I was in my jeans on Tuesday night at the show. WHEW! Happily I have can say I have been very good all week with my food and I am down 5.1 pounds of bloat and my belly looks less like I’m expecting πŸ˜‚

I love that I have this app that keeps track of my weight for me. I just need to step on the scale and not even look at it, I can be half asleep lol it is a wireless scale and it’s synced to my app and I can easily track my weight overtime fairly effortlessly.

Regardless – I am feeling good. Especially staying on track at the concert. That was a big mental hurdle. I’m on the right road and I am proud of myself. The simple successes make staying on track much easier. And with this week even being “that” week where all I want to do is eat chocolates and crap – I have done well. I bought myself some sugar free Hershey bars and that helps a lot. Can’t eat too many of them or you end up with the πŸ’©πŸ’©πŸ’©’s The sugar alcohol that they use is not digestible and that is why it does not effect your insulin…lol but that also means that your body just pushes it through pretty fast and well – gas and other bad things happen if you eat too many LOL

Did I mention that we paid off the Kia last week? We seriously have 2 more things that we need to take care of; the new bed and the money we promised out daughter for her wedding. We will be down to the utilities and house payment before Christmas. That right there is a super nice Christmas gift to ourselves!Β  This will add another level of Freedom for us. Do we move? DO we stay? Things we need to consider with the next step in out plan. It’s so “funny” once you put a plan in place like actually write it down. Lay out what will be paid when and STICK TO IT! You start to have little successes and the feeling becomes and addiction. You want to keep paying things off πŸ™‚ And growing the savings account – it’s a pretty powerful feeling. And also comforting to know if things come up we can make it.

Well – I need to get on with my day. You have an outstanding weekend.

Counting my successes

Morning All!

I have to report back from last night. The concert was good. For a 72 year old Man he can still rock. I didn’t get any video of him. Once he came on stage the place got crazy. I did capture a few short videos of Nancy Williams the opening act. The lady singing Ann’s part of the Heart songs has an amazing set of pipes on her!

So my successes of the night – Free Pizza, popcorn, cookies, brownies, beer and soda…I drank water. LOL I don’t feel deprived at all, so I know my head is back in the game. I never once sat there pouting that everyone was eating and I was just enjoying the show. “Just Enjoying The Show” like that was so hard to do πŸ™‚ I was not hungry, so if I would have been eating it would have been eating out of something to do and not because I was hungry. Wrong reason to eat.

Because I am at my highest weight in – Oh, I don’t know – 15 MONTHS! I was squished in to my only pair of jeans that still sort of fit LOL and a loose top that did not show my paunch! Also goo reminders that I did not need anymore food in my mouth.

I think life will settle down soon and the routine will be able to happen. I am going to try to go at lunch to the gym with my DIL and walk PLUS get there in the AM to lift heavy stuff with my hubby πŸ™‚ Just need a “what body part by day of week” plan in place for that.

I am super tired. We did not get home and into bed until after midnight πŸ˜³πŸ˜΄πŸ›Œ and still had to get up and be to my desk by 7AM. No nap for me after work as I NEED to get groceries in the house!

Well I need to get a few things done before lunch!

OH, Have I mentioned I’m getting in A in class so far? πŸ™‚ It’s English Comp – Not Rocket Science yet lol

Well Lookie there – 342 more days to keep getting this right. 1 Down 342 to go πŸ˜ƒ

Fully on track with my food, Have not made it to the gym yet, but I will. Today at lunch we finished closing the pool – so, that’s done. We get to look at the depressing cover the rest of the year and for the first 5 months of next year. WHY? Do people live in this state and have to have a pool? LOL At this point in life we would get more use out of a hot tub to be honest. Old achy bones would love a nice hot soak before bed.

I don’t think I mentioned in yesterday’s post that we are going to the Bob Seger Concert tonight! Me and Hubby and his Boss and his wife. The owner of the new store bought tickets for them as a Thank You for all the work they did to get the store open πŸ™‚ It is a very nice gesture. We saw him the last time he was in Michigan, it should be a good show. And for the next week I’m going to be singing Bob Seger songs in my head – not that that is a bad thing LOL

OK well it’s time to go get ready!

Good On Track – Will stay on track at the Concert – If I get anything it will be like nuts or something that is Keto πŸ™‚ I have these goals I want I meet πŸ’“β€πŸ’šπŸ’™πŸ’œπŸ’›

Monday Day 1 – again! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜

Well here we are again. Another Monday. Another promise to myself for getting my shit together.

We are now 343 Days until my Half Century mark. So many times this weekend I wanted to sit down and write a post. I had been collecting pictures and knew they were coming into my view at the right time to help get me going again.

If you recall a while ago I has said “I am worth it”. In regards to making time for myself and making time to do the things that need to be done and not just thinking about them, actually do them. And I was really good at that for a while, but I lost my way and I am just trying to get back to it. It’s going to be hard. There are going to be hard days, but I am worth it.

And then I saw this other picture with Dave Ramsey reminding me that if I have no goals – I’ll reach them every time πŸ˜‘ SO this weekend aside from cleaning the basement and getting stuff cleaned out for the kids, I also got up early Saturday morning made a cup of coffee and sat in the tub and warmed up so I could do a full body blast. That was the first time I did that in A LONG TIME! I have not bruised since I started blasting again. Not sure why – I do know I hurt all over and I have some pretty jacked up Fascia – way more Jacked up then when I started before. I am sure that is a combination of eating like shit and not working out all summer – AND getting things started and then stopping with the blasting. Need to get to the good side then I can move to a maintenance schedule. I am not ready for maintenance.

I made a little video of my left inner thigh/knee area. When I run my hand down it you can see all the lines and dimples. That is not fat. If you have that, stop telling yourself its because you are fat. There IS fat stuck in there. But it’s stuck in tight messed up Fascia. When you get the blood flow moving back into the area and your fascia gets healthy – the lumps and bums go away because the trapped fat can then be accessed and used for fuel…provided you are not actively storing more πŸ™‚ It will still smooth out, but it will not suddenly just evaporate without combining exercise and a good diet with the activity.

I also took a couple shots of my face and head when I got out of the tub. I am hoping to see the turkey neck tighten up and the marionette lines around my mouth go away (in time with my new efforts)

I hate all three of those pictures – so you better feel awfully blessed that I shared them LOL
I was full of picture taking this weekend – While I was in the basement cleaning I realized I could really see the dents in my legs when I was kneeling and the lighting down there sucks so it casts lots of shadows and you can clearly see my dents even in pictures. I Never had this many lumps and dents in my legs until I was treated with radiation for my Graves disease. It kind of makes me think they are related – But I can’t find the right search criteria to Google and figure out what else was damaged with that treatment. I will in time I’m sure. You know me – Like a Dog with a Bone! And finally my weight as of this morning 😣😳 Holy SHIT! How did that happen??

Oh well – it is what it is – BUT it does not have to stay that way 😏

 

Kids are all moved in and we have a gate up to keep the cats and dogs separate – UNTIL we can get a door hung at the top of the stairs. My Daughter in Law and I both slept like crap fearing the destruction of kitties by my dog that loves to chase and catch squirrels! Very high chase instinct in both dogs – Not even birds are allowed to land in the back yard LOL

So I caught sight of myself while getting into the shower yesterday, and the mirror reflection was not nearly has bad as the image I have in my head LOL

I still am not thrilled with where I am – BUT I am also not where I had imagined I am. I Just need to focus!

I was using the blaster in the shower yesterday – and boy does it hurt! I have backslid so far with how the knots and lumps feel while working on them. my butt cheeks 😲 Holy Shit! I used to be able to go to town on them and really scrub to work on the dents. NOPE! Not yesterday. I had to lightly scrub and that still hurt. It’s going to take some time to get back to where I was.

I have made a small shopping list of things I need to get started back to where I was in April – Food wise. I am pretty sure I was just walking each day. But like I said before I need to start lifting again. I have to figure out when getting to the gym is going to work best for me.

Been thinking about making some Blasting video’s again – if for nothing more than my own accountability.

Looking for MotivationΒ

I laid in bed this morning running my had over my tummyΒ πŸ™ Its so bloated and lumpy. I made it until about 3:00 eating low carb. But we have all of these leftovers in the house from the VIP event and last weeks dinners. I didn’t even go grocery shopping yet, because I need to get this food out of the house and we seriously can’t afford to just throw it out. John has always gotten paid weekly. This new job is bi-weekly and he has not gotten a full paycheck yet. So I am hoping after this Friday life will take on some kind of normalcy where our money flow is concerned. But none of them are good reason to keep sabotaging myself.

I look at these pictures on Reddit in the Athletic Girls forum and get super motivated – and then I eat cookies. I have shared the link below.Β  WARNING – Many of the pictures shared there are Not Safe For Work (NSFW) and I don’t recommend clicking on that from a work computer LOL

There are so many “rules” that are out there for losing weigh. But I KNOW 100% I KNOW that the key is keeping my insulin down and the calories in calories out theory will break your metabolism if followed over time. SO you have to keep calories low some days – but other days you have to fully feed your system to keep it running properly. And that does not mean eating every 2 hours. It just means eat enough in a 4-8 hour window. You want the other 16-20 hours to be no food so your body can work on itself and not be always processing food. I know I need to lift weights to build muscle. And I FOR SURE need to lift heavy things if I want to look even close to them ladies πŸ™‚

Here we are 349 days until my Goal date and I’m still waffling on how I’m going to get where I’m going. I think I spoke about this before – I don’t want to think “Oh, I have plenty of time” andΒ  wait too long to get my shit together.

Yesterday’s title was Another hurdle…life is just going to keep putting hurdles out – I need to learn to jump those hurdles while eating right and not breaking my stride with working out. My son suggested a weight routine I’m going to look at, and I have another one in mind. Regardless it will have to happen at the gym, because they are moving into my workout room this weekend LOL

Another hurdleΒ

We had the VIP event last night! It went over very well. I actually ended up going Saturday and getting even more hair taken off the top. It was looking really heavy and mushroom like LOL

I hated it! NOW I like it, and in fact I might take it a bit shorter on top when I go get it trimmed in a few weeks. I wish I had not locked my knees in that picture πŸ™‚ But I did and I can’t have a do over LOL John looks fabulous! I love my husband β€πŸ’ŸπŸ’•πŸ’œπŸ’›πŸ’šπŸ’™ Today is the first day the store is open. He said there were 15-20 people lined up waiting to get in when he got there this morning. I think it is going to be a smashing success!!

At the event yesterday; Betsy and Dick DeVos stopped in and mingled a bit and really liked what they saw. If you live in or around Ada Michigan you should stop in and check it out! I really don’t have any great pictures of the store to share – YET – I am sure all of the ones from the event will show up on social media soon and I can link to them. Or have John take some more some morning before it opens for the day πŸ™‚

So today – I am trying to get my head back in the game. I think I will do my best to get back to Keto this week. At least start out low carb…I have not gone shopping yet and I was actually losing weight at a good rate back in April – I’ll be looking up my food logs for that month and see what I can do to get back there again.

We are just entering into week two of school. I have not yet looked at my weeks assignments to see what I need to do – But I don’t expect its going to be too overwhelming. Read, analyze, wrote…I like to do that so no biggie πŸ™‚ I am waiting to see how my items for last week are graded. The lag in turning in and grading is where I struggle. Need to make sure I am on track before I get too far off. If I am in fact off.

We are down to one last thing to be fixed and we are 100% fixed up after the storm. Yesterday while we were gone the black top company was here to clean and reseal the black top that was damaged when the shingles were delivered for the roof back in July. That picture is what it looked like when I got home last night, so it was still really wet. But you can see all the cracks have been sealed and the black top is all pretty. I have a zillion weeds to get out of the island and the front of the house, and then we will put some red mulch down and make things POP. Because regardless if we stay in Michigan or move to Florida – I’m buyingΒ  anew house next year! As nice as this house is; I want a more open floor plan. This house was built in the 70’s when many different rooms was the way to build a house. NOW you have a great room that has the kitchen, dinning and gathering area all in one space. So the cook is not left in the kitchen while everyone else visits in the other room.

If we move south the house will be bigger. Need room for the kids to come stay! If it’s here in Michigan, it will be a bit downsized as far as bedrooms, but have a real office and a rec room in the basement – Florida home will not have a basement πŸ™‚

OK Off to live life. I hope to have new pictures posted some day this week. I also plan to start hitting the tanning booth at the gym at least twice a week, if nothing else to keep my positive while we lose sunshine int he coming months 😐
