After a week of being back home I think I can safely say I am adjusted to the Eastern Time Zone again 🙂 I have stopped counting 6 hours to see what time it is in Hawaii all the time and I am really just focused on life here and not day dreaming I am there. The bad side of a great vacation in not wanting it to end.
Before I left I had been following a keto diet and had figured out why in the recent past I had not been able to lose doing so. I was not eating a) enough and b) enough fat c) and too much protein. I had my macros all tweaked and in place and I was losing great! Then vacation happened and I gained it all back plus some ???? No worries. I took the last week to get the crap out of my diet and just did low carb food all week – well until Sunday night when I fell into a plate of French Fires and ate the whole thing! ???? Then Monday was the holiday so I just relaxed and ate what I wanted.
Today I am starting an experiment.
Just before vacation I had put my macros into a well-known online calculator for keto dieters to find their macro’s. I am about to test it. According to this site, I will gain weight eating 2000 calories a day. And I would if it was a SAD and probably even a Low carb diet. But with my new-found knowledge. I think I will be proving it wrong 🙂 And maybe I will be proven wrong 🙂 That is the fun of an experiment!
I have all the data exported and I will be tracking my weight and calories consumed in a spreadsheet to compare and I will make Charts! I love charts.
This( in blue) is what is predicted to happen eating 2000 calories a day – actuality will be shown in red. Actual calories consumed is in green. I can’t wait to see what happens. I plan to run this until my birthday at the end of August. I feel I may come close to my goals by then. We shall see 🙂
UPDATE: So, I never posted this yesterday 🙂 I wanted to take pictures but never got around to it. So I will get some at some point this week – won’t change much in a few days LOL
I did have a new screen shot of my chart as of this morning, posted below. You can see the red line already going the other way LOL. I’m excited to do this…but a bit concerned that I can stick to it until the end of August, being its summer and all and weekends happen and the pool and the fun and such. I think if I stay 100% on track M-F any slips that happen Saturday or Sunday should not pull me too far off track 🙂 Lets be honest. I want to make these last 15 pounds be GONE. But at what expense? I’m going to work on balance here while still running my test. Maybe I be hard-core the month of June as we have a big life change happening at the end of June I can’t talk about yet, but it will for sure change my life and what I do on the weekends.
